Top teams in NCAA right now

This year has been as crazy as anyone can remember in college hoops this year.  Lets take a look at who we think are the top 5 teams in the country right now!

1-Florida, I know some may disagree and thats fine but I love this Gators team. They have it all in my opinion. They have the pg Scottie Wilbekin that can get in the lane and create. They Have outstanding shooters in Boynton, Rosario and Frazier. And they have big athletic players like Patric Young, Erik Murphy and Casey Prather. Will Yegute should be back by tournament time and will only improve their bench. Billy Donovan has had some tremendous teams in his time there and this is no different.

2-Indiana, They could easily be the best team in the country. The Hooisers boast 5 double digit scorers. One of those 5 is their sharp shooting 6th man Will Sheehey who is the best 3 point shooter in the big ten. Many think Cody Zeller is the best player in the country but I think hes not even the best on his team. In my opinion that would be Victor Oladipo. He does it all including being one of the top steals per game leaders in the ncaa. Zeller is also tremendous and they also have Christian Watford and lights out 3 point shooter Jordan Hulls. If young Yogi Ferrell can play solid at the point this team cold definitely win the national title.

3-Duke, This is a team that really needs to get senior Ryan Kelly back. The big man can really stretch the court with his outside shooting. Mason Plumlee may win the Wooden award this year and for good reason. The guy is a beast inside. They also have good guard play with Curry and Cook. Seth Curry can really shoot the ball and freshmen Rasheed Sulaimon is a very good defender that can do some scoring himself. If and when this team gets Kelly back they will contend for another national title.

4-Michigan, And I know they were just blown out by the Spartans but there is just too much to like about this team come March. They really dont have any go to big guys but they make up for that with their guard play. Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr are fantastic all around guards that dont turn it over.Burke is averaging 18 a game to go along with 7 assits to 2 turnovers a game. Freshman Nick Stauskas is absolute money from outside. Inside the duo of Glenn Robinson the 3rd and frosh Mitch McGary are undersized but they can bang with the best of them. As long as this team can rebound the basketball they can score with any team in the country.

5-Syracuse, Michael Carter-Williams is an extremely savvy guard. He can score but he is also top 5 in the country in assists. Brandon Triche is a heady veteran guard. CJ Fair is undersized but tough as nails and is leading the team in rebounding. James Southerland is back from academic issues and is a supreme scoring option off the bench. Rakeem Christmas has been a disappointment this year and they could really need his help come march.

6-Gonzaga-Kelly Olynk is one of the best players no one has heard of in the country.
7-Louisville-Their guards Russ Smith and Peyton Siva need to step up.
8-Miami-I think they over achieved thus far but being undefeated in the ACC is no small feat.
9-Michigan St-Tough nosed like any Izzo team is hot right now and primed for a top seed.
10-Kansas-Ben McLemore is one of my favorite players in the country. Dont count on another 3 game slide.

  2. I can't have Florida as my number 1 team because they have been largely untested the last two months playing in the SEC. I do agree that they have all the pieces however. My current top 5...
